On April 5, Greatoo announced that Greatoo will increase its stocks of OPS-INGERSOLL (OPS company) to 23,600 by holding the stocks of OPS Holding, about 21.32% of OPS’s whole stocks. The purchasing price is no more than 10 million euros.

At the end of March, Greatoo was chosen as one of the first key robot enterprises in Guangdong province and won 8.71 million yuan from Guangdong special fund for intelligence.

Extend the business of machine tools

On April 5, Greatoo announced that the company is going to use no more than 10 million euros to increase its stocks of Germany OPS-INGERSOLL （OPS company) and plans to seize a share of profits in intelligent numerically-controlled machine tools

It’s well known that numerically-controlled machine tools play a supporting role in industries. Therefore, numerically-controlled machine tools is crucial for the company to develop intelligent manufacturing and expand its market share.

“we hope we can further improve the current layout”. Dehua Li, the customer manager of Greatoo’s industrial robot business division, said to gaogaorobot net that the cooperation with OPS can improve the company’s layout of machine tools, robots and control systems and enables the company to effectively extend its business and accelerate its process of intelligent manufacturing.

It’s said that OPS is mainly engaged in researching, manufacturing and selling the complete sets of automatic equipment and relevant technologies, high-end numerical controlled electric discharge machine, high-end  vertical machining centers, with high brand value and reputation in Europe. OPS has many high-end customers, including BMW, VW, Ford, Visteon, Boer, Belrose, Siemens, Nypro, Ace Mold and Zongxin Mold.

Once with a large number of customers, enterprises will have advantages in market competitiveness. Li said revealed that currently, the company’s machine tools are mainly applied in 3C industries and tire industries. Integrating the market resources and expanding the company’s business of machine tools is meaningful to the company’s development.

It’s said that in recent 17^th Shenzhen Machine Exhibition, Greatoo showed its achievements in the automation of numerically-controlled machine tools to the world.

What Greatoo showed was ODG-3CIR-V620 high speed processing center. It’s known that ODG-3CIR-V620 automatic CNC units consist of 3 automatic processing centers of milling, 1 ODG-JLRB20 robot, 1 loading station and 1 numerically-controlled system, mainly performing the work of drilling, tapping and milling, which can realize the instant use of Plop-and-Play, increase productivity, decrease labor intensity and improve product quality.

“Different from other enterprises, we research and produce numerically-controlled machine tools by ourselves. Some enterprises who purchase foreign machine tools may encounter the problems of linkage in the operation process.” Li said. This is what Greatoo is better than other enterprises.

Overcome the hardest obstacle

In addition to numerically-controlled machine tools, Greatoo has also made breakthrough in precision reducers which are known as an obstacle.

At present, because the high demand of advanced technologies, many factors such as friction, abrasion, gaps of parts and costs has to take into consideration in the design of reducers. RV reducers in China are mainly imported, which to a large extent, prevents the development enterprises’ intelligent manufacturing.

However, with years of experience in precision manufacturing, Greatoo has overcome the obstacle of the technologies of reducers.

“With years of experience in precision manufacturing and rich resources of technologies and advanced manufacturing equipment, the company has made great progress in localizing and producing the RV reducers of robots. Now, the company has produced RV reducers in small scale.” Hao Wu, the secretary of the company’s board said to Gaogong Robot. Greatoo’s RV reducers has won the national patents and been applied in many automatic production lines.

It’s said that Greatoo (Guangzhou) Intelligent Technology Research Institute Ltd (short for “Greatoo (Guangzhou)”), Greatoo’s wholly-owned subsidiary, cooperated with Israel Servotronix Automation Solutions Ltd (short for “SAS”): SAS has authorized Greatoo to use SoftMC source code technology of industrial robots’ control systems in Greatoo’s independent invention, manufacturing and sales of industrial robots’ control systems and motion systems. Besides, SAS provides the upgrading, training and support services for Greatoo. At the same time, Greatoo (Guangzhou) has the exclusive right to use this authorized technology in the tire industries in China. This cooperation has enabled the company to master the core technologies of robots’ control system.

Besides, Greatoo is making efforts to overcome the difficulties in the technologies of other core components such as planet gears, planet carriers, cycloidal gears, pin wheel housing and eccentric shaft. With more and more patents, the company is consolidating its “think-tank” of the core technologies of robots’ control systems.

“Except for servosystems, Greatoo has been able to invent control systems, the body of robots and RV reducers by its own.” Li continued to say.

Build an intelligent manufacturing kingdom

It can be easily told that Greatoo’s robots have been developed. Until now, Greatoo has already successfully produced a seizes of light-weight and heavy-weight industrial robots weighting from 8kg, 20kg, 50kg, 100kg, 200kg and 300kg.

Greatoo never ceases its development of intelligent manufacturing.

The establishment of the wholly-owned subsidiary has enabled the company to undergo the research of the advanced technologies of robots; Greatoo is allowed to establish Guangdong laboratory of intelligent equipment manufacturing where the company researches robots and intelligent equipment.

“Next, we plan to launch products related to robots in 2 months, further improving our industrial chain of robots.” Li introduced that besides for the business above, Greatoo will also develop single-degree robot systems and stereoscopic warehousing systems.

The company’s continued expansion of market and its concentration in the research of products tip off Greatoo’s determination of intelligent manufacturing. Gaogong Robot knew that in the future, Greatoo will apply robots in auto parts, ceramics, bathroom accessories and polishing.

Greatoo recently issued its business performance in 2015. Last year, the company’s revenue is 987 million yuan and the net margin is 130 million yuan. Compared with the revenue of traditional industries, Greatoo made a new breakthrough in the revenue of robot products.
